A position has become available for a Senior Fire Protection Technician Supervisor with Sprinkler systems experience to join our team, based in Rustenburg.
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience is a definite pre-requisite. SAQCC 1475 registration for Fire Detection Systems is preferred. Training certificates to work on Fire Detection will be an advantage.
Requirements:
Good knowledge and experience with fire protection systems and their design, such as automatic sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire/smoke detection, fire signage, etc. Sprinkler design according to the ASIB rules and other international codes such as BS, NFPA and also FM Global standards. Kitchen Systems.
Programming, testing and Commissioning of Fire Detection systems and Fire Suppression systems.
Tasked to Program, Test and Commission Addressable Fire Detection systems
Installation of Fire Extinguishers and hose reels.
Servicing of Fire Extinguishers and hose reels at customer premises.
Good understanding of fire safety of a building, as per SANS 10400 part T.
Understanding of equipment and service co-ordination of the fire reticulation systems, automatic sprinklers, penetrations, fire sealing.
Specification of equipment and detailing thereof.
Be able to identify all fire systems faults and recommend repairs/service required
Ability to read drawings, and apply compliant solutions
Understand and manage own deliverables, scope and good time management
Work and adhere to detailed commissioning plans which identifies the activities needed to successfully install/service, commission and handover sites,
Proper control over all documents and records of all tests on site to include in handover documents as proof of functional testing. Timeous handing in of all completed job cards.
Be able to manage an assistant where required.
Monitor the progress, and communicate daily to site client and Fidelity Fire Solutions Project Manager and make adjustments as agreed with Project Manager to ensure the successful completion or projects;
Ensure quality of work on site to ensure that it meets the project standards and specifications.
