Senior Fitter and Turner

SUMMARY:
Our client, a chemical processing plant, seeks to employ a qualified and Trade Tested Fitter, who is able to travel nationally and across borders to perform hands on maintenance and installations on machinery and equipment in Hazchem environment.
 
Please note that this role does require travel to plants nationally, as well as across borders in Africa, therefore you will be willing to spend time away from home and have the ability to travel at short notice when required.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have passed a recognised trade test as Fitter, have a minimum of N3 and have 5 plus years experience in maintenance within a chemical processing or manufacturing plant.

• In addition, you will have proven experience in the maintenance and repair of boilers, compressors, valves, pumps and relevant components, as well as having a knowledge of pipe fitting and steel component fabrication.

• You will have proven fault finding, repair, breakdown and maintenance experience, as well as experience in scheduling planned maintenance.

• You will be able to be on standby, attend to call outs and provide support to the plant during peak season, which may require overtime.

• You will have a clear criminal record, a valid driver’s license and a list of contactable references from past employers.
