CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To facilitate and administer the learning process for students in modules presented at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Conduct and publish research within the discipline of Marketing Management and contribute to community engagement in line with the core functions and values of the university.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• To facilitate the learning and teaching processes and outcomes of the department.
• To conduct, publish and supervise research.
• To perform administration work.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Sound knowledge in the theory and application of Marketing Management principles, specifically in the areas of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Consumer Behaviour, Sales Management, and Business Research Principles.
• Experience in facilitating learning and research at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
• Ability to facilitate online learning and large classes.
• Evidence of adequate conference and Journal publications.
• Experience in successful supervision of postgraduate research studies in the field of Marketing.

REQUIREMENTS

• In order to be considered for appointment to this post, the potential candidate must have a relevant Doctoral degree with 2 years relevant discipline specific knowledge in the areas of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Consumer Behaviour, Sales Management, and Business Research Principles.
• The candidate must have experience in lecturing at undergraduate and post graduate levels in the field of Marketing.
• Proven track record of supervision experience of postgraduate studies.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of published journal articles in refereed and DoE accredited journals, and/or book chapters and have presented research findings at conferences.
