Senior Payroll Administrator

SUMMARY:
Red Ember Recruitment seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to be based in Kraaifontein.

POSITION INFO:

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process using Sage 300, ERS, and VIP, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
  
• Oversee payroll processing activities, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, tax requirements, and benefits regulations.
  
• Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and process payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits.
  
• Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion of tasks.
  
• Monitor payroll-related queries from employees, ensuring any issues or discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  
• Assist with the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes, suggesting and implementing optimizations to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
  
• Generate and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and assist with internal and external audits as required.
  
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times.
  

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field is essential.
  
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 3 years of experience using Sage 300, ERS, and VIP systems.
  
• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, tax laws, and employment regulations.
  
• Proven experience in handling the complete payroll cycle and managing complex payroll issues.
  
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality and discretion.
  
• Experience in the supply chain or consulting industry is an advantage.
