POSITION INFO:

We’re looking for a Payroll Officer, who’s a Sage 300 wizard, to manage payroll with precision and excellence. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Oversee end-to-end payroll process
Review and process payroll inputs
Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, labour laws and company policies
Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and financial analysis
Prepare payroll journal entries and reconciliations
Payroll queries
Maintain payroll records
System management and process improvements
Team leadership and development - acting as 2IC to the Payroll Manager

Education Requirements:

Completed Matric (Grade 12)
Tertiary qualification in payroll or HR

Job Requirements and Skills:

5 to 7 years' experience in a Payroll Officer position essential
Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
Proficient in MS packages
Deadline driven
Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
Team player
