RESPONSIBILITY OF JOB:
The senior SHERQ Inspector, with approval from the SHERQ Manager, is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all relevant plant, personnel, and equipment to ensure the company consistently follows its Integrated Management System (Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk, and Quality).
He/she is responsible for the Health, Safety, Environmental Risk and Quality aspects of the Quality Department as well as representative for the various factory sites by:
- Controlling all inspection and testing functions under the Health, Safety Environmental, Risk and Quality systems.
- Accurate daily and monthly reporting of all actions, activities, functions and costs pertaining to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental.
- Controlling of hourly inspections and activities, roving inspections and activities, including control over various quarantine areas.
- Ensuring the necessary tools, equipment and understanding to accurately measure and record all relevant parameters.
- Ensure that all team members comply to company policies and procedures and continuously evaluate the standards of the inspections for improvement.
- Conduct in process audits to ensure compliance to relevant Work instructions, procedures and processes.
- Facilitate daily activities and provide in task training, identify additional training needs, drive initiatives to uplift the skills of all team members.
- Conduct investigations and relevant trouble shooting, root cause analysis and be able to interpret the outcome of any out-of-control parameters to present a clear understanding and sufficient support to production with regards to corrective actions.
- He/she is accountable to the SHERQ Manager for any defects, which have not been reported by him, or any of the inspection staff under his control.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS)
- Conduct toolbox talks on regular basis, form an integrated part of the internal communication between quality and production.
- Build good knowledge of all applicable WI and SOP’s and ensure conformance to these procedures and form an integrated part in risk assessment for the company.
Identify training needs and lead an internal program for quality inspectors training.
