SUMMARY:
A leading Waste Management Company is seeking the services of a Senior Site Supervisor for its Operations in Klinkerstene Landfill Site - Delmas

POSITION INFO:

Overall management of supervising and coordinates activities of workers engaged in landfill operations.
Must have strong Planning and organization skills
Management of Plant and Equipment on site.
Must have basic financial acumen on management of the budget on site vs operational activities
Establish productivity goals where needed; ensure adherence to operating standards; and manage labour hours and disposal expenses per established and agreed plans,
Able to follow and direct established landfill operations procedures pertaining to erosion control measures within the boundary of waste and borrow areas,
Determine and direct solid waste and daily cover placement efficiently,
Ensure compliance to the OHS Act and any applicable legislature
Able to conduct risk assessments prior to work being done, to minimise injuries and/or lost time
Must have strong Managerial Skills and be able to resolve conflict in a timeously manner with minimal impact to operations.
Resolve customer complaints Attend safety meetings customers premises as well at depot

Requirements:
NQF 5 Supervisory Qualification or similar
Strong Managerial Skills
Strong and clear communication skills
Report writing
± 5-7 Years experience in a similar role
Previous Waste Management Knowledge (advantageous)
Previous Construction Management Knowledge (advantageous)
Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence
Grade 12
