SERVICE ADVISOR/PART SALES CLERK - The main focus of the Service Advisor/Parts sales clerk will be to quote, ell, pick and invoice parts on the system for Customers and the Workshop. In addition, to book customers cars in the morning for scheduled work and to ensure all the necessary paperwork is complete and captured.
Qualifications, skills and experience
High school qualifications essential
Experience in the motor trade at least 3 yrs.
Working knowledge of a Service Centers environment.
Skilled in conflict management and dealing with customer enquiries.
Qualification in the motor trade will be an advantage or working knowledge of the mechanics of a car.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Have a professional telephone manner to ensure good communication with customers.
Must be skilled in making observations and recording findings on client vehicles.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company rules
Understand and are able to operate office equipment
Duties:
Receive and sign-in customer cars and record all issues accurately
Collaborate on the workshop schedule with the workshop manager.
Update data for work and service records, intervals, and repairs.
Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible.
Follow-up with clients for service intervals and offer bookings and specials as needed.
Up-sell on accessories/ parts if appropriate.
Generate parts quotes for customers on the system.
Pick and invoice parts required by the workshop.
Maintain stock levels and keep an accurate inventory.
Salary – Market related
