JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client, a leading and well-known Chemical Cleaning Company requires a competent and experienced Service Consultant to join their team in East London.

This position is in the Department: Retail & Food Service Sector and reports to the Regional Sales Manager

   REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years'''''''' experience in Technical Sales support function
  • Training Experience Beneficial
  • Knowledge and Experience of technical systems and equipment for the Chemical Industry
  • beneficial
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or Equivalent
  • Diploma or Equivalent in Sales and Marketing Beneficial
  • Computer Literate
  • Valid code 08 Driver''s License
  • SA Citizens only
  • Must be Criminal Clear
  • Must reside in East London or be willing to relocate

DESCRIPTION OF AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Service, Retain and Expand existing customers and Sales within the various target markets,
  • concerned with cleaning, disinfecting, retail, and hospitality. 
  • Training on products, dilutions, applications, and safe handling of products to all users.

 KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TASKS


Service and Retention of Customers

  • Call on clients according to the allocated accounts and servicing of the current customer base § Retain and Expand current Customer base through maintaining a harmonious and service orientated relationship with clients, and introducing products on a regular basis

Sales and Marketing

  • Report on Corporate new business prospects to the SECTOR LEAD. 
  • Achieve at minimum, set sales targets as agreed upon 
  • Enhance new business development within the existing customer base 
  • New business development – opening of new accounts with the assistance of SECTOR LEAD
  • Product Knowledge & Skills Development
  • Continuous internal workbook training

Administration

  • Compliance to Company Policies and Procedures 
  • Written submission and implementation of documentation relating to the performance management system processes 
  • Submission of customer documentation as stipulated by the Performance Management System or as required by the customer or Management
