SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in the Business sector for a Services Coordinator (SMME) in Gqeberha.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

COORDINATION OF THE EMPOWERMENT CIRCLE:
  • Drive the recruitment of the empowerment circle participants.
  • Plan the quarterly networking events for the group by sourcing key note speakers including presentations.
  • Plan quarterly tours to member companies to increase knowledge and awareness amongst the participants.
  • Encourage participants to join Mentorship programme.
  • Market free webinars to the participants.
  • Send out welcome e-mail to new participants and to the broader group.
  • Build a community of networkers.
COORDINATE SMME SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES:
  • Taking minutes at programme meetings and ensuring they are circulated within 2 days after meeting.
  • Sending out communications to participants, and making necessary follow ups, as required.
  • Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing of programme material.
  • Assist in the design and compilation of the programme events calendar.
  • Assist in writing the funders’ reports on progress.
  • Assist in making follow ups with stakeholders, as required.
  • Assist with logistics and taking pictures at programme events.
  • Dealing with the programme participants’ queries timeously.
COORDINATION OF THE SMME & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DESK:
  • Uptake of benefits by Desk sponsors to ensure value is realised.
  • Execution of Desk sponsorship agreements.
  • Enterprise and Exporter Development Programmes.
  • Access to funding programmes.
  • Access to markets (trade mission participation).
  • Advisory support / resolving help desk queries.
  • Access to business intelligence.
  • Tender documentation support.
  • Mentoring programme.
  • Access to Skills development & training opportunities.
  • Webinars / topics of interest to SMMEs.
  • Exposure / linkages.
  • Empowerment circle.
COORDINATION OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME:
  • Recruitment of participants and ensuring application fees are collected.
  • Providing secretarial support at meetings.
  • Coordinating on-boarding and close out sessions.
  • Providing written feedback and progress on the programme to Management quarterly.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification, preferably in Communications
  • Computer Literacy
  • Marketing, Project Management, Communication and Presentation skills, Negotiation skills, Budget experience - Target-driven
  • Relationship building, Strong Public Relations personality
  • Experience working in a similar position
