POSITION INFO:

Job Summary:
The Settlements Officer is essential to the Fund Services team, focusing on trade matching and settlement processes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing fund services business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely processing and settlement of trades, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and FX deals.
• Prepare manual instructions for unlisted trade settlements and validate account details.
• Match trades between client notifications and counterparty confirmations, ensuring reconciliation of records.
• Monitor trade status and maintain broker details and rates.
• Oversee Straight Through Processing (STP) settlement and compile incident reports.
• Resolve queries from brokers and clients, maintaining strong relationships for issue resolution.
• Participate in project tasks aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Required Experience:

• 2-3 years in a Settlements role within Fund Services or Investment environments.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, ideally with local and international market knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Investments, or Economics.

Key Competencies:

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
