SUMMARY:
A large Food manufacturing Plant situated in City Deep Johannesburg is seeking a qualified shift manager to join their dynamic team. The suitable candidate must have at least 5 years Supervisory experience in the Food manufacturing industry.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

Matiric
NQF 5 - Production/Operations Management Qualification

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
At least 5 years Supervisory experience
Food processing equipment and food processing knowledge
Understanding of LRA and other applicable legislation Good understanding and experience in all applicable audits (Food Manufacturing) Good knowledge of HACCP; GMP; and food related practices

Critical Competencies:

Understanding of Productivity and Yields
Knowledge of Occupational Safety, Hygiene, Food Safety, Quality Systems and HACCP
Knowledge of IR Legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA)

Strong Supervisor and Leadership Skills
Highly Motivated and Motivational
Ability to work Effectively on own as well as part of a Team

Good Communicator with Managers; all staff and departments, Customers and Suppliers
Good ability to implement and maintain systems
Continuous visibility in plant to assess and observe operations and processes to improve.
Ability to improvise and make quick, but economical decisions.
