SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Cape Town, Western Cape, is looking for a Shift Setter to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PET production environment
• Minimum of 5 years in a Two-Stage Stretch-rod Blow-moulding environment
• Self-adhesive label experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Have a strong ability to communicate with all levels and across departments
• Strong leadership ability
• Highly motivated and ability to motivate others
• Strong technical/mechanical knowledge
• Shift work essential
• Self disciplined, enthusiastic, and a strong team player
• Be reliable (proven track record)
• Passionate about excellent service
• An understanding of quality and a passion for it
• Good communication skills
• Computer literacy advantageous
• Sound knowledge of our products

• Assisting in achieving production efficiencies of + 80%
• Assisting in ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained
• Setting of machines according to the best practices
• Conducting mould, label changes and material trials as required
• Assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements
• Ensuring that top quality products are produced according to the prescribed specifications
• Ensuring that machinery, moulds and change parts are effectively maintained, serviced and stored
• Ensure that all company procedures are always adhered to
• Continuously improving on departmental processes and outputs
• Practicing a high standard of Housekeeping and Safety
• Any other duties reasonably requested by Manager
• Attend to breakdowns/ callouts as needed/mould changing
