Shift Supervisor

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking two qualified Shift Supervisor. One in the Plate Making Section and one in the Assembly Section for our Port Elizabeth Factory. The role involves overseeing plant operations and resources, including production and maintenance, to ensure production targets and product quality standards are met safely and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

•         Matric (Grade 12)

•         Certificate in a technical discipline or production-related field (NQF 5)

•         Diploma in a technical discipline or production-related field (NQF 6) advantageous

•         Trade Test (NQF 5) advantageous

•         Certificate in First Line Management (FLMP) (NQF 5) advantageous

•         CCS Supervisory Development Programme advantageous

•         Up to 5 years'' experience in production/maintenance operations in manufacturing, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role

•         Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP)

•         Strong knowledge of production and maintenance practices

•         Understanding of manufacturing regulations and compliance

•         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

•         Proactive, action-oriented, and problem-solving mindset

•         Strong supervisory and customer-focused skills

Key Responsibilities:

•         Ensure production targets are achieved through optimal resource utilization

•         Maintain production efficiency and quality standards according to schedules

•         Coordinate maintenance activities to prevent downtime and optimize processes

•         Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations

•         Foster effective customer relationships and represent the company in meetings
