SUMMARY:
Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their team. This role requires someone that is willing to work 12-hour shifts and will be reporting directly to the Production Manager.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Control and monitoring the extrusion process.
Responsible for tool changes, feeder changes and raw material changes.
Ensure there is timeous line set-ups and changeovers.
Managing the production shift.
Take responsibility for process and product quality.
Monitoring and inspections of the machines and equipment.
Analysis of the process and product deviations as well as troubleshooting and adjustments.
Focus on the OEE indicators.
Maintain team discipline and morale, monitor the attendance, punctuality and keep record thereof.
Ensure the production area and facilities are clean and organized.
Responsible for the shift safety and safety of the team.
Drive the lean operational activities such as set-ups, autonomous maintenance, root cause, corrective action, problem solving , FIFO and meetings.
Shift maintenance and general maintenance.

Requirements:

Matric certificate.
4+ years in a similar role / manufacturing environment.
Experience in supervising a team.
Must be a hands on person.
Critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent numeracy skills and computer literacy.
Must have good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Drivers license.
Forklift license.
Able to work at heights.
