Our Port Elizabeth based client, an exporter of wools and textiles is seeking to appoint an Shipping Clerk and PA on a morning only basis.
Qualifications and experience:
- Matric
- A tertiary qualification would be advantageous
- Previous shipping / freight / export experience is essential
- Bookkeeping experience is advantageous.
- Textile experience will be advantageous
- Must be fully computer literate
- Strong administrative skills / experience
Applicant must have shipping experience in particular:
- Arranging logistics of export and import of wool and mohair;
- Preparing invoices; packing lists and the necessary documents for export and import;
- Communicating with all necessary service providers to arrange and finalise shipment of goods;
- Stocktaking.
The Applicant will be working closely with the managing director and must provide all administrative support necessary for the business.
Proficiency in communication is essential.
Applicant must take ownership of their role and show initiative.

There will be times when working from home will be possible.
