I am seeking a skilled Craftsman / Artisan who is experienced in producing a variety of items from start to finish like furniture, display units and point-of-sales solutions. The position entails working with various materials in the construction process like wood, acrylic, resin, metal and apply the appropriate finishes and adhere to design and technical specs.
Requirements:
- Carpentry, Cabinetry, Joinery, CNC Machining, Printing, Electrical course / certification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Craftsman / Artisan
- Experience in the shopfitting / digital design industry will be an advantage
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Able to problem-solve to reach the design intent
- Able to work within a team or independently if required
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work evenings, on call and week-ends if required
- Some trave may be required
The physical aspect of this position requires frequent lifting of materials, sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending and kneeling therefore the incumbent needs to be fit and in good health.
Salary is market related and dependent on experience and qualifications.
