SUMMARY:

Bedfordview – A leading, and well-established Financial Brokerage seeks an experienced Short-Term Insurance Broker to join their fast-growing Short-Term department.

POSITION INFO:

As an independent financial brokerage, our client provides a wide array of Financial Services to its Professional clients in the market including Short-Term Insurance, Risk, Investment, and Estate Planning. They pride themselves in providing exceptional client services unmatched within the industry.

As a Short-Term Insurance broker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and advice to your clients. The ideal candidate should demonstrate eagerness, motivation, attention to detail, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

Achieving a monthly minimum target of R3,500.00 in new business commissions (This target typically entails securing approximately 10 policies per month, with each policy yielding a commission of R350.00)
Identifying client needs and offering insurance coverage tailored to their specific requirements
Obtaining quotations from a range of insurance providers, including but not limited to Old Mutual, Santam, Discovery, PPS, Rodel, Echelon, Auto & General, Momentum, CIB, CCIRC, King Price, IUM, and Rodel
Conducting face-to-face discussions with clients to review and discuss insurance quotations
Providing clients with accurate and comprehensive advice regarding their insurance needs
Maintaining a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities to consistently achieve monthly targets
Note: cold calling and lead sourcing are not part of the broker's daily responsibilities; leads are provided through inbound call center agents and liaisons with the life, tax, and billing departments

Minimum Requirements:

Matriculation certificate.
RE5 certification.
Relevant NQF level 4 or 5 qualifications with a minimum of 120 credits
Class of business certificates for both personal and commercial lines
Proven experience in handling both personal and commercial lines
Own vehicle
Valid driver’s license
2 + years experience in a similar role

Remuneration:
R23 000,00 (Basic Salary) + Commission

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 8 am - 4.30 pm
