Short-term Insurance Broker

SUMMARY:
A client of ours within the Insurance Sector is looking for an experienced Short-term Insurance Broker to become part of their team

POSITION INFO:
Location: 
Bedfordview- Johannesburg

Requirements:

• Matriculation certificate
• RE5 certification
• Relevant NQF level 4 or 5 qualification with a minimum of 120 credits
• Class of business certificates for both personal and commercial lines
• Proven experience in handling both personal and commercial lines
• Own vehicle
• Valid driver’s license

• Achieving a monthly minimum target of R3,500.00 in new business commissions. This target typically entails securing approximately 10 policies per month, with each policy yielding a commission of R350.00
• Identifying client needs and offering insurance coverage tailored to their specific requirements
• Obtaining quotations from a range of insurance providers, including but not limited to Old Mutual, Santam, Discovery, PPS, Rodel, Echelon, Auto & General, Momentum, CIB, CCIRC, King Price, IUM and Rodel
• Conducting face-to-face discussions with clients to review and discuss insurance quotations
• Providing clients with accurate and comprehensive advice regarding their insurance needs
• Maintaining a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities to consistently achieve monthly targets
• Note that cold calling and lead sourcing are not part of the broker's daily responsibilities; leads are provided through inbound call center agents and liaisons with the life, tax, and billing departments
