Sportsbook Manager

They have an amazing new job opportunity for a Sportsbook Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible and accountable for the integrated planning, management and governance of the sportsbook risk management and trading function for online and retail sports betting operations.

Your key job responsibilities as the Sportsbook Manager in Johannesburg will include:

• Understand the business strategy and compile an integrated operational plan, and deliverables for implementation across the business including a consolidated and holistic view of the product, customer and trading experiences for sport betting
• Collaborate with and support the GM and the Sports Betting Retail Manager to build objectives and processes that will engage potential customers and offer them products and services in line with the brand promise
• Facilitate the programme management and achievement of milestones of operational deliverables
• Monitor market trends and conduct due diligence analyses to understand consumer expectations and brand relevance including product, pricing and offerings available in the market
• Conduct risk analyses i.t.o impact on short term profit margins vs. long term sustainability
• Provide input for present and future products and services by investigating and evaluating current and future customer trends and preferences
• Develop a plan around the customer experience at important touchpoints in the customer’s journey from initial online interaction, retail and trading experiences across the business
• Communicate operational and project objectives and collaborate with the cross-functional team, business partners and key stakeholders to ensure optimal execution and synergy throughout the experience
• Elicit new business opportunities and leverage relationships to ensure cost efficiency; increase revenues, competitive edge and business growth
• Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute promotions and initiatives to promote the product and enhance the customer experience

Requirements for this Sportsbook Manager job in Johannesburg:

• Must have a relevant degree/diploma
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience within the sports betting industry; including 2 years in a senior trading role
• Must have both retail AND sportsbook/betting experience
• Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements
• Local Travel
