Stable Manager

SUMMARY:

A premier equestrian facility dedicated to organic and sustainable practices is seeking the above to manage the equestrian facilities, livestock, and farming practices, while providing updates to livery owners and feedback to the General Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
• Equestrian experience is highly beneficial
• Must be organically and eco-friendly inclined
• Passion to grow the horse project
• Must be proficient in English and understand or speak Afrikaans

• Caring for and maintaining the well-being of livery horses.
• Supervising and coordinating the work of grooms.
• Overseeing the inventory of supplies, feed, and medical treatments for horses.
• Providing regular updates to livery owners about the status of their horses.
• Conducting and participating in training sessions and lessons.
• Managing and organizing outrides for clients.
• Overseeing the equestrian facilities and providing feedback to the General Manager.
• Managing a diverse range of livestock, including cattle, chickens, and fallow deer.
• Gaining hands-on experience in farming practices, including soil management, water conservation, and handling bales.
