POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a Supervisor: Engineering Shafts to oversee the maintenance and smooth running of shaft infrastructure, conveyances, stations, and related installations. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of shafts, stations, water tunnels, and loading installations.
• Lead and supervise daily team activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, shaft examinations, and equipment inspections.
• Oversee rigging, slinging, and shaft operations, ensuring safe execution.
• Manage the use of explosives, adhering to MHSA regulations.
• Participate in and lead failure investigations to enhance operational practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Permanent Blasting Certificate and Onsetter Certificate.
• At least 5 years'' experience in a shaft environment, with a background in mining or timberman roles.
• Proficiency in basic rigging, slinging, and working at heights.
• Computer literacy (MS Office) and basic knowledge of SAP.
