The salary linked to the position is that of a graduate but will obviously change as you change positions. This is however a great opportunity to work for a manager with a wealth of knowledge and to kick start your career.
The company has to procure raw material for the manufacturing process so you will form part of that team. The company supply a large portion of their product to the international market and they have a few large sites, so definitely the type of exposure a young graduate would like to have.
You will follow the supply chain process, from ensuring the raw material is ordered correctly, enough, on time and delivered on time. Once the final product is ready, you will do the same for the product going out to the local and overseas customers who are very large retailers or wholesalers.
Some of your duties will include checking stock quantities, inventory, production planning. Your internal client will be the Buyers, the Supply chain team as well as the logistics department. You will naturally be in communication with the clients as well. At the beginning your work will entail some admin work, but a lot of data analytics and using that information to manage the production line.
In order for you to secure this position, you need:
- A completed degree: BEng, BCom Logistics or BCom Supply Chain
- Excellent Excel skills
