System Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Medical/Healthcare Software Development sector is looking for a System Analyst to join their growing team in Centurion (Hybrid). Interested candidates must have medical aid experience, specifically membership and contributions.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• A relevant 3-year degree or equivalent 3-year qualification
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in dealing with insurance systems and operational requirements.
• Strong understanding of Healthcare and /or Short-term insurance industry (compulsory)
• Oracle or PostgreSQL – writing/running queries (added advantage)
• MS Office Suite
• Advanced Excel
• Working experience in an ITIL based environment (added advantage)

• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Risk mitigation planning
• Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required
• Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organisation
• Running training sessions and workshops on system processes
• Conducting regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas
• Review problem reports, analyse and investigate using the appropriate tools.
• As required, resolve problem report, or utilize debug/datafix processes by applying knowledge of the system, interfaces and dependencies. Identify sets of stakeholders to be involved. Ensure that the documentation / breakdown of the issue is complete and fit for purpose.
• If required, revert to stakeholders if technical issues require business decisions to proceed and answer any queries from the development team.
• Liaise directly with developers, business analysts and development managers to arrive at solutions.
• Using technical skills, plan, code and quality check ad hoc reports as needed from business and management team
