Job Description
Our Cape Town based client has an opportunity for a knowledgeable individual to join their team in the capacity of the R&D Technologist/New Product Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct Market research on new and existing products
- Formulate specifications for new products
- Validate recipes processes through factory trials
- Develop product based on the customer requirements and brief
- Continuously upgrade existing product ranges according to customer and business requirements
- Document and file the confirmed recipes for easy access
- Create and maintain a project tracking sheet, to ensure that the status and updates regarding current projects are reported on
- Align recipe schedules with identified project schedules
- Liaise with Procurement Department to ensure that raw materials available for production trials within the allocated timeframes
- Continuously improve quality standards of existing product ranges through local and international benchmarking
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Food Technology or Equivalent
Skills
- 2 years experience in Product Development
- Bakery Experience Advantageous
