POSITION INFO:
RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established, international organisation in the TRAVEL INDUSTRY to recruit a TRAVEL/RESERVATIONS CONSULTANT to be based at their offices in DURBAN, WESTVILLE. Market-related salary depending on experience and qualifications.
OUR CLIENT, ESTABLISHED OVER 50 YEARS AGO, PROVIDES UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAYS IN AFRICA AND SOUTH ASIA.
The ideal candidate should have/be the following:
Matric.
A qualification relevant to the travel industry, an advantage.
A service-oriented approach.
Familiar with reservations processes and procedures.
Previous experience in a telephone sales environment.
Proven sales ability.
Experience selling travel packages/products for African destinations, an advantage.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Call clients and consult with them about their needs while giving practical and expert advice, in accordance with the clients’ budget and requirements.
Prepare and send quotes (flights, accommodation and transfers/car hire).
Follow-up with clients about quotes.
Capture bookings.
Keep the client updated regarding all booking details, flight times, accommodation and transport.
Submit call reports.
Answering of calls professionally and promptly.
Attend to queries from agents and clients telephonically and via email.
Working Hours During SA Summer:
11:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.
11:00 – 16:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch
Not required to work on UK public holidays (10).
Will be required to work on SA public holidays.
Leave: 20 working days leave per a year.
Working Hours During SA Winter:
10:00 – 19:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.
10:00 – 15:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch
Remuneration:
Market related salary depending on experience and qualifications.
