Job Title: Tasting Room Manager

Position Overview

Our client, a renowned wine estate celebrated for its exceptional wines and unique terroir, is seeking an enthusiastic and hospitality-driven Tasting Room Manager to join their company based in Hermanus. This role is pivotal in delivering 5-star guest experiences and ensuring the tasting room operates efficiently and successfully. If you have a passion for wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences, this is an excellent opportunity to make your mark.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a welcoming and smooth-running tasting room that provides guests with unforgettable experiences.
Ensure the highest quality of service to maintain 5-star guest satisfaction.
Oversee all tasting room operations and ensure their efficiency.
Develop innovative ideas to drive the growth and success of the tasting room.
Process daily sales and manage shipping orders.
Schedule and manage wine tastings and private bookings.
Organise and execute events to promote the brand and its wines.
Address guest experience issues courteously and professionally.
Collaborate with the team and contribute to the overall success of the estate.

Requirements:

A hands-on, proactive individual who thrives in a small team environment.
Pragmatic, optimistic, and solution-oriented with the ability to tackle challenges effectively.
Energetic, well-spoken, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
Secondary education is required; additional qualifications in hospitality or related fields are a plus.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Understanding that adaptability is key in the hospitality industry.

Location: Hermanus.

Employment Type: Full-Time, office based.

Salary: R20 000-R25 000 CTC per month.
