SUMMARY:
We are looking to hire a Tax Accountant at our Offices based in Menlyn.

General nature of the role:

Handling the Tax Affairs of Various Clients (VAT and Employees Taxes are taken care off, only when disputes arise with SARS this person will be requested to assist).
Work alongside the director of the firm on various tax matters
Assist with standardisation of processes and documentation within the firm

POSITION INFO:
Duties include but are not limited to:

Perform provisional tax calculations (bi-annually)
Perform final tax calculations (annually)
Review trial balances and financial statements to manage tax risks. Work alongside the bookkeepers and accountants in this regard
Handle SARS Verifications and Audits
Dealing with SARS disputes – Objections, Appeals and All Escalations
Prepare and submit all SARS Income Tax returns
Handle ad hoc taxes like securities transfer tax and dividend withholding tax

Qualifications and experience:

B Com Accounting Degree / Hons Degree
Tax qualifications will be advantageous
Articles will be advantageous
Must have experience in dealing with SARS
Must have experience in preparing tax calculations for companies, trusts and individuals – both provisional and final
Must be able to communicate well in writing and verbally with clients
Good writing skills in English
Solid knowledge of the various tax acts
