JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric with Relevant diploma / degree, or extensive in-practice experience in tax administration
  • Min 5 years’ experience
  • Previous experience in provisional tax administration is essential
  • Computer literate in Greatsoft or CaseWare, SARS Efiling and Excel
  • Ability to prioritise, highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Must have good knowledge of provisional tax administration
 
DUTIES
  • Primary contact for communication with SARS and clients
  • Process provisional tax for clients
  • Managing E-filing profiles - registration of clients Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL & WCA
  • Administer client’s profiles & register new clients
  • Send verification documents and activations to SARS when requested by SARS.
  • Applying for Tax Clearance Certificates, letters of good standing, tenders, and foreign investments.
  • Verify client accounts to ensure that they are compliant
  • Merge and update VAT & PAYE profiles
  • Attend to any E-filing queries from employees and clients.
  • Submit all income tax returns (ITR12, ITR14, IT12EI, ITR12T, ITR14SD) on Greatsoft and EFiling.
  • Draw assessments and account statements
  • Compare IT returns with tax summary ensuring returns are correctly completed
  • Input IT returns on Greatsoft
  • Emailing clients to inform them about the status of the IT return
  • Mange IT returns verifications, follow up on any delays with SARS and keep client informed.
  • Manage discrepancy or queries, objections, disputes or appeals
  • Complete exemption Tax Unit registrations and request necessary documentation
  • Manage assessment penalties
  • Manage final reminders and general changes in status and registration details for clients
  • Apply for tax directives for specific clients annually
  • Arrange and attend SARS appointments for Associates and clients.
  • Manage internal administration for new and resigned clients
