Team Lead: Credit Controller

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Team Lead for Credit Controllers to oversee debtor accounts, manage collections, and resolve outstanding amounts while minimizing bad debt. This role involves managing a team, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures. POSITION INFO:

Create and maintain debtor accounts
Collect overdue debts and resolve outstanding amounts
Collate information for credit applications and debtor reviews
Maintain debtor accounts and update records as needed
Send monthly statements to customers
Address account queries and perform reconciliations
Prepare and consolidate debtor reports
Perform credit control activities, including final demands and claims
Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures
Manage day-to-day operations of the credit control team
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Train, motivate, and support a team of credit controllers
 
Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in credit control
Experience leading a small team of credit controllers (preferred)
Good understanding of debtors’ policies and procedures
Excellent attention to detail
Above average Excel skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships
 
Qualification:
Matric
Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Credit Management
