ï‚· Lead the IT Coordination team and manage the workload and ITC priorities.

ï‚· Provide guidance and learning to the team and ensure multi-skilling of team members to operate in all environments.

ï‚· Fulfil the ITC function for ERP Finance.

ï‚· Coordinate, guide and oversee the implementation of reporting capabilities on Nerve Centre to effectively report project status.

ï‚· Coordination, quality control and ensure approved standards of the development life cycle for mainframe/ERP systems and relevant integration with other software systems.

ï‚· Manage developer’s open projects/service requests to ensure target dates are met.

 

Responsible to coordinate the following:

- Activities of the ITCs;

- Prioritisation of projects by ITCs across the domains;

- Analyse and improve the ITC and SDLC processes; - Regular feedback on the progress of projects;

- Improve Nerve Centre capabilities to support the ITC and SDLC processes; and

- Improve Nerve Centre capabilities to report project statuses through dashboards.

ï‚· Coordinate and manage projects and target dates with users, IT team leaders, management/Project Management and testers.

ï‚· Ensure that issues with high priority receive urgent attention.

ï‚· Coordinate, arrange or supply test data in the QA environment.

ï‚· Coordinate formal user testing by ITCs and PMO using the Nerve Centre and Virtual Test Lab.

ï‚· Ensure migration of programs in different libraries.

ï‚· Ensure specification requirements are met according to standards.

ï‚· Provide assistance and guidance to developers during the development phase and to testers during the testing phase.

ï‚· Do first-line testing and/or formal testing after development by programmers.

ï‚· Ensure that the production version (after migration) is in working order and that all programs are in sync.

ï‚· Monitor email from operators regarding crashed batch jobs.

ï‚· Manage the operations of the development team(s).

ï‚· Stay up to date with the status of all requests and enquiries, and follow up on due dates.

ï‚· Manage and approve changes in the Crisis Library and ensure testing thereof.

ï‚· Continuously maintain and expand test conditions on the Virtual Test Lab master.

ï‚· Act as liaison between IT and users, testers, management and external parties or clients. Requirements

ï‚· Grade 12 and 8 years’ ITC or similar business coordination experience; OR

ï‚· A relevant National Diploma or Degree with 5 years’ ITC or similar business coordination experience.

 

Knowledge of the following:

- ERP and integration of systems; - Neve Centre and Virtual Test Lab; and - Workflow system.

ï‚· Basic knowledge of Soap/REST and XML.

ï‚· Must have a valid K53 driving licence.

 

 Must possess the following skills:

- Good interpersonal skills;

- Highly quality driven;

- Positive working relationships;

- Build trust and facilitate changes;

- Able to perform under pressure; and

- Technical skills in MS Word, Excel, and Nerve Centre, Virtual Test Lab, web service testing and external software testing.
