Team Leader: Call Centre

SUMMARY:
We are an established law firm in Johannesburg North, currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee our debt collection team. This position is ideal for a goal-oriented leader with a strong background in debt recovery who can motivate and guide a team to achieve outstanding results.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of debt collectors to achieve monthly targets and uphold high recovery rates.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and internal policies.
• Handle escalated debtor queries and complaints, providing fair and effective resolutions.
• Monitor and report on team performance, providing accurate data to management and identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement disciplinary measures and performance improvement plans as needed to maintain a productive work environment.

• Education: Minimum Matric; a tertiary qualification in Credit, Risk, or Business Management is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role within a debt collection environment.
• Skills:
  • Solid understanding of debt collection processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire team members.
  • Effective decision-making, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
