JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Market Leader in the Imports and Distribution of specialised Cleaning & Hygiene Products is looking to appoint a Technical Sales & Account Manager.

This position will offer the successful candidate a long-term career opportunity to spearhead a Technical Specialist Division that will ensure strong business development, client retention and technical support pertaining all Technical Products and Services.

Minimum requirements:

  • Senior Secondary Qualification (NQF4)
  • Mechanical Engineer Diploma/Degree is preferrable
  • 3 – 5 years Technical Sales Consultation and Account Management experience
  • Mechanical Engineering/Technical Sales background
  • Must have a sound technical aptitude, ability to multitask with strong analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical sales presentation skills
  • Ability to take a concept and build towards a finished product/solution
  • Fully Computer Literate at Advanced Level on all Microsoft Office Suite Application
  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS advantageous (Visualize experience will be beneficial)
  • National Representation (able to travel Nationally monthly)
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence

 

Main Key performance areas will include:

  • Drive business development and retention strategies
  • Identify and Profile unique client requirements
  • Advise and present cost-effective solutions and ensure strong follow through & follow up processes
  • Drive and achieve consistent conversions of unique projects
  • Create and maintain the correct Bill of Materials product structure
  • Liaise and negotiate with relevant suppliers pertaining all costings
  • Create the layout for submission of quotations to client
  • Create an outline and piece part drawings to submit to suppliers for discussion pertaining design and improvement of lead times, costing, and ensuring suppliers adheres to requirements
  • Responsible for general planning and organisation of each unique project, inclusive of finalising feasible specifications and drawings
  • Ensure constant communication & updates to relevant sales consultants, senior management, and clients regarding latest and agreed revisions
  • Ensure that client has approved final drawings and signed off on approval to proceed
  • Arrange final materials for assembly, apply proper process and task master the required resources
  • Amend, change, or correct final assembly quality checks
  • Ensure sound time management and planning procedures for each unique project
  • Advise relevant sales consultants and clients on feasible and practical solutions and present technical document process flow
  • Communicate with warehouse department to ensure correct quantity, packaging, and quality, prior to installation
  • Oversee and manage final design implementation, testing processes, adjust as required, monitor, and implement ongoing maintenance schedule
  • Diagnose, repair, and ensure maintenance of mechanical devises, building or constructing equipment
  • Report directly into the Sales manager and on a dotted line to the CEO
