SUMMARY:
We are looking for an E&I Technician, based in Saudi Arabia, Middle East. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of the Ilmenite Smelter Plant’s electrical and instrumentation equipment. This includes overseeing electrical safety, ensuring safe working practices, and managing the upkeep of substations, generators, pumps, and plant instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Carry out basic repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment, diagnosing issues and ensuring proper functionality.
- Provide prompt responses to equipment service requests to ensure timely repair and minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair HV/MV/LV panels, ensuring equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot a range of instruments, including analyzers, load cells, and measuring devices.
- Maintain and operate electrical substations and associated equipment.
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures during maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all work is performed according to established quality guidelines and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) procedures.
- Clean the work area post-task in compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Support the operations team during minor and major turnarounds, shutdowns, and start-ups to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Education:- Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology or equivalent.
Skills and Knowledge:- Strong knowledge in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Experience with HV/MV/LV panel repair and maintenance, including troubleshooting system failures.
- Proficient in the calibration and troubleshooting of instruments such as flow, pressure, and temperature controllers.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Knowledge of automation and PLC systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with field instruments and analyzer calibration (e.g., CO, O2).
- Experience in maintenance of MCC components, VSDs, and lighting systems.
Experience:- A minimum of 6 years of experience in heavy industries, preferably within the manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.
- Experience in a similar role within the electrical and instrumentation field is preferred.
- Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD) is critical.
