Field Technicians required in Kathu, Northern Cape in the Telecommunications Sector
Positions are available for Field Technicians to work with one of the most established
and fastest growing ISP / Telecoms companies in South Africa.
Key responsibilities & Attributes
Installation of telecommunication links
Maintenance and repairs of telecommunication links
Client liaison and communication on escalated queries
Any other task or duty relating to the installation, support and decommission of such
services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Over the top Administrative skills in reporting fault finding
Results and deadline driven, prepared to accept standby duties
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to take initiative and multitask
Detail focused and teamwork oriented
Working at heights (training will be provided)
Minimum Requirements:
Matric – Grade 12
Basic IP/routing experience preferably with Mikrotik RouterOS or similar
Experience in installations of outdoor radios and telecom equipment will be useful
2 - 3 years experience as a Telecommunications Field Technician
Additional IT qualifications will be advantageous
Valid driver’s license and no criminal record
Willing to travel
Salary: R15,000.00 p/m TCTC, phone allowance and medical aid (after completion of probation period).
