JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Ensures that the company’s ICT systems are available, secure and functionally reliable and that clients and other authorized users are provided with support in order to use the ICT systems effectively and to act as a coordinator on the operation of the ICT systems.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage employees as appropriate within the division to optimize business performance and the underwriting service to customers.
  • Conduct Performance Planning Sessions.
  • Track and monitor performance in accordance with policies and procedures and performance planning documentation.
  • Provides limited one-on-one coaching and mentoring to staff
  • Identifies and recommends training for ICT training needs
  • ICT procurement
  • Submit monthly invoicing to finance for processing
  • Recommend Vendors for ICT services
  • R& D new products and solutions
  • Assists with the development of the Department’s business and financial plan
  • Supports the department manager in new business development concepts.
  • Monitors processes, systems and schedules on behalf of department manager.
  • Manages and coordinates all aspects of project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation
  • Identifies and manages risks related to working environment and project deliverables.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, resources, servers, workstations, systems, applications, hardware, software, databases, Cisco IP Telephony, LAN, WAN, Security
  • Coordinates access control levels
  • Monthly and Quarterly ICT reports
  • Ensure Maintenance schedule compliance
  • Maintains a complete and accurate library (properly indexed) of ICT system related documentation as required,

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • National Diploma in IT or Degree in ICT
  • Management diploma
  • 5 years’ experience in ICT role and 3 years in service provider and supplier liaison
