Temporary Asset Clerk (3 months contract)

SUMMARY:
JOB PURPOSE:
Administer assets and provide support to the asset management function.

POSITION INFO:
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma in Finance or related

• Minimum one year experience in the asset management field
• Good administrative, filing and organisational skills.
• Good verbal communicator and interpersonal skills.
• An intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
• Attention to detail
• PFMA knowledge on asset management (added advantage)

• Provide support to the asset management function
• Maintain FIC’s fixed asset register.
• Assist the Asset controller with the physical verification process
• Assist with maintaining the accuracy of the asset registers and safeguarding of assets
• Assist in retrieving audit samples for information requests and ensure timely submission of information to Asset Supervisor
• Daily review of physical security asset management activities
• Printing and pasting of asset list, movement forms, and disposals.
• Facilitate the recording and sign off of allocated assets  by new employees
• Assist with the filing of all documents for the relevant assets
• Correctly identify, record, tag and locate assets, in line with set guidelines
• Perform other related duties as delegated
