Job Title: Temporary Assistant Accountant  (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Assistant Accountant  to join our dynamic team on a temporary 6-month contract. This role reports to the Accountant and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our finance operations during a critical period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain business partner accounts.
• Reconcile business partner accounts and resolve queries.
• Prepare and distribute statements to business partners.
• Assist with internal queries related to business partners.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Maintain age analyses for accounts payable and receivable.
• Follow up on overdue accounts receivable with debtors.
• Process daily financial transactions and reconcile control accounts.
• Handle daily refunds across various payment methods.
• Assist in the creation and management of coupons.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
• Manage daily bank uploads and reconciliations.
• Process overhead invoices and payments.
• Perform additional ad hoc duties within the finance department as required.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Pastel Evolution (advantageous).
• A BCom degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months (temporary position).
