Job Title: Temporary Junior Accountant (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team on a temporary 6-month contract. This role reports to the Accountant and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our finance operations during a critical period.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain business partner accounts.
Reconcile business partner accounts and resolve queries.
Prepare and distribute statements to business partners.
Assist with internal queries related to business partners.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Maintain age analyses for accounts payable and receivable.
Follow up on overdue accounts receivable with debtors.
Process daily financial transactions and reconcile control accounts.
Handle daily refunds across various payment methods.
Assist in the creation and management of coupons.
Support daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
Manage daily bank uploads and reconciliations.
Process overhead invoices and payments.
Perform additional ad hoc duties within the finance department as required.

Ability to interpret financial statements effectively.
Thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in advanced Excel.
Basic knowledge of Pastel Evolution (advantageous).
A BCom degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Contract Details:

Duration: 6 months (temporary position).
