Test Automation Engineer required for a forward-thinking technology company in Edinburgh.
The company are a friendly tech consultancy who are embedded in some modern and interesting companies in the local area from financial services to higher education to software companies. They've been around for the last fifteen years, so are a well-respected organisation, with a lot of stability behind them.

You'll be working with a well-known client on progressing their test automation function - something which is fairly new to the company, and a real priority at the moment! Day-to-day you will be testing systems in a service-based architecture, focusing on automating tests on the front-end of the application as well as APIs as well as carrying out exploratory and manual testing.
You won't be just carrying out the automation testing - you'll be a key contributor to assessing the environment and deciding on best testing techniques with your testing colleagues, so you have real influence on how the testing is shaped!
You will have most of the following skills/experience:
** C# experience for automation testing
** 'Shift left' experience - CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps
** SpecFlow would be a bonus
** Agile Scrum
** Kanban
** API testing - Postman
** Regression testing when needed
** Performance testing
**Risk-based approach
The client would be looking to operate on a hybrid working model - in the office a few days per week long-term. As a consultancy, flexibility is a huge focus, and if you would prefer to work from home (depending on client needs) you are able to do so. On top of this, they take a mature approach to a work/life balance, so if you need to nip off to pick the kids up from school, or you prefer to go the gym at lunch, that's fine!
The salary on offer is up to £50,000 plus benefits. Their standard pension is 9%, but this is flexible, so be discussed.
