Test Engineer for a leading Fintech company in Edinburgh or Glasgow (in office once a week).
The company is going through a period of sustained growth (with some of the most ambitious hiring plans I've seen, with investment to match) and are looking to bring a couple more manually focused Test Analysts onboard to join their established testing team. The company boast an impressive client list developed throughout the years and have a range of clients from large-scale well-known UK brands through to smaller, more local organisations.
At the moment, they are focusing on modernising the technical function - so loads of new ideas, tools, technology and processes incoming, all whilst they migrate the majority of their customers to a cloud-hosted platform over the next couple of years, so there is lots of get involved in!
You'll have experience across automation testing - ideally using JavaScript - although the team are happy to consider any automation software testing experience! There's a lot of the product, both back and front-end that needs more test coverage, but your focus with be across the front-end in particular.
There are a range of skillsets across the software testing team (including fully manual), and it would be ideal if you were keen to mentor and develop your colleagues' skills!
You'll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Automation testing - ideally JavaScript
**API testing
**UI automation testing
**CI pipelines
The company have no 'us and them' mentality, and so the testing and development teams are very collaborative, integrated and means that the technical team as a whole really value software testing.
The company have two very nice offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow - both centrally based, and ideally you would be able to travel into the office once a week. If you live further afield, or less time in the office would be preferable for some reason, please do still apply as the company are happy to be flexible.
