SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading the programme of change, works closely with the executive team to successfully deliver the strategic benefits across the business. Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the transformation programme, involving all areas of the business.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education

Legal/public relations/administration/project management

Additional Qualifications

Understanding project management of relevant BBBEE sector codes is advantageous

Minimum Work Experience

7+ years’ experience of which 5 years should have been in BBBEE compliance environment.

 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience as a BEE Compliance Office or similar role.

Experience in Project Management: Implementation, monitoring and evaluation

Basic understanding of learnerships, internships and graduate programmes and the link to the skills aspect of B-BBEE implementation

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite – particularly Excel

Strong Analytical skills with problem-solving ability

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in order to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders at various levels

Ability to work in a team environment

Good time management and deadline-driven, ability to work under pressure and deliver as per required deadlines

KEY RESULT AREAS

 

1.BBBEE

Guide and support the development and implementation of a B-BBEE strategy for the organisation.

Work with and support directors, managers and operational B-BBEE champions in the developing required plans and appropriate strategies to achieve the target level for each reporting year.

Develop plans and targets for the different functional areas of the organisation required to report on the annual scorecard.

Implement processes, good practices, and policies to ensure compliance and improvement of scores

Coordinate all B-BBEE related activities: Preferential Procurement, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Corporate Social Investment, Enterprise and Supplier Development.

Developing an annual Socio-Economic Development program in line with Gambling board guidelines and procedures.

 

2.Audit & Compliance

Review and analyse the monthly B-BBEE data reports and make recommendations or initiate corrective action

Preparing and facilitating annual BBB-EE audit process

3. Stakeholder Relations 

Identify, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with management and key stakeholders, both internal and external, across the organisation to ensure successful delivery of required targets.

Train all B-BBEE stakeholders on the relevant Codes of Good Practice.

Conducting awareness, education, and sensitisation sessions on BBB-EE initiatives.

4. Administrative Support and Reporting

 Present monthly updates/reports to the Executive Management Team on progress

The position reports to Transfomation Executive

Within the Organisation (HRM, Training & Development, Procurement, Audit & Compliance)

Outside the Organisation (Government, Grooms, Trainers, Regulatory Authorities & Horse Racing

Industry)
