Treasury Clerk

SUMMARY:
Our large, Durban-based retail client requires a Treasury Clerk. The main purpose of the role is to reconcile the bank accounts daily and the related cashbooks. Key functions include daily bank reconciliations, capturing of payments and reconciling bank accounts to store bank recons.
Salary range R12000 – R15000 monthly cost to company, depending on experience

POSITION INFO:
Key Job Functions

• Review of bank reconciliations to ensure compliance with SOP
• Treasury reporting relating to the stores in the portfolio
• Reviewing daily bank reconciliations prepared by stores and following up on queries
• Preparing, capturing and reconciliation of all data related to the cashbook on a daily and monthly basis
• Importing of daily bank reconciliations and reconciling on Sage
• Maintain and monitor cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Maintain investment records and prepare expense and earnings forecasts
• Assisting stores with any banking related queries
• Capturing all EFT payments and loading of banking details
• Ensure that all relevant treasury department information is stored and updated to Knowledge Base
• Liaising with Financial Institutions for queries
• Liaising with stores for queries

• Tertiary qualification in finance
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• System experience with Sage 300 and MS Office
• Financial acumen and good attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
