POSITION INFO:

Experience:

• Experience in a manual turning role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual lathes to machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Select and set appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
• Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges).
• Adjust machine settings and cutting tools to achieve required finishes and tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on machines to ensure proper functionality.
• Work with different materials, including steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics.
• Ensure that machined parts meet quality standards and production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to optimize machining processes.
