Exciting company in the Renewable Energy space requires a UI/UX Graphics Designer to join their growing IT team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicable degree, diploma or Java developer certification

BSc (Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems / Graphic Design)
BTech / BIS
Diploma in Information Technology / UX Design
Bachelor of Arts

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Impeccable attention to detail
Strong organisational and self-management skills.
Proficiency with fundamental styling languages such as CSS and SASS.
Mastery in relevant applications used in graphics design, e.g.:
- Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustration
- Figma
- Sketch
- Invision
Familiarity with database technology such as Informix, MySQL and NoSQL.
Understanding of the full life cycle for development: data modelling, architecture, unit testing, product support.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3 to 6 years of experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborating with product managers and analysts to gather and evaluate user requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis where user requirements have unknowns.
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
Using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps to illustrate the design.
Illustrate how a site functions with UI wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes.
Designing the user interface elements, like menus, tabs, graphs, etc.
Implementing user experience techniques to all interactive portions of the platforms.
Identify UX problems to be troubleshot by you or the team.
Create tasks to adjust layout elements based on user feedback.
Create standardisations to be adhered to throughout the process.
Create styles, fonts and colour schemes that follow these standardisations.
Code CSS or SASS where necessary
