POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced CREDIT CONTROLLER for a well-established company, position based in Foreshore, Cape Town.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant finance qualification.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Person must be able to speak, read and write in English / Afrikaans.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). 

5+ yrs experience as a Credit Controller in commercial / retail property industry.

Good understanding of commercial leases and property associated charges being levied.

Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.

Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.

Apt in negotiating and persuading.

Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.

Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.

Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.

Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.

Handle questions or complaints.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Create trust relationships with debtors, when possible, to avoid future issues.

Update account status and database regularly.

Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
