SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced professional to join a collaborative team that specializes in underwriting and servicing mining clients. You will manage a portfolio of clients, evaluate credit decisions, and contribute to new business development while playing a key role in assessing financial risks and structuring transactions.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage a portfolio of mining clients, evaluate credit risks, and structure transactions related to mine rehabilitation guarantees. The role involves analyzing financial statements, presenting underwriting decisions, maintaining client relationships, and driving innovation through automation and digitalisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, conduct trend analysis, and benchmark client performance.
• Present facility reviews and underwriting recommendations to a credit committee.
• Assess forward-looking financial models and structure transactions for mining companies.
• Manage and maintain client relationships while keeping up to date with industry trends.
• Drive automation and digitalization within the business.
• Participate in business and product development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: BCom (CA(SA) or additional financial qualifications advantageous).
• Certifications: FAIS Compliant and RE 5 Exam preferred but not required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years in credit or the mining industry.
  • Expertise in financial statement analysis, project finance, and client relationship management.
  • General understanding of guarantees is an advantage.
