Your Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement herd health protocols to prevent and manage diseases.
• Conduct routine health checks, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Monitor feedlot conditions to ensure a healthy and safe environment for livestock.
• Collaborate with farm managers and staff to optimize livestock performance.
• Oversee vaccination programs and implement biosecurity measures.
• Provide training and guidance to feedlot staff on best practices for animal handling and welfare.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improving herd performance.

What We Are Looking For

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with livestock, particularly in a feedlot or similar agricultural setting.
• Strong understanding of animal nutrition, reproduction, and disease prevention.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and biosecurity protocols in the livestock industry.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to engage effectively with farm staff and stakeholders.
