Our client is seeking a Vice Principal to assist in leading, developing, and managing our client's Primary School in an inspired, motivated, and dynamic way. Oversee the quality and relevance of the curriculum.

Keep up to date with CAIE curriculum and assessment development and communicate necessary information to the relevant faculty members.

Ensure that teaching staff are aware of new developments in teaching and learning; pedagogical approaches and strategies.

Promote and advocate the use of IT to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum in collaboration with the ICT department.

Work with Class Teachers and Speciliasts to maintain and raise academic standards.

Formulate and review an annual curriculum development plan.

Lead the tracking, analysing, and monitoring of learner's attainment and progress using iSAMS.

Use data from the tracking system to make data-informed decisions to improve academic systems in the Primary School.

Triangulate data from class teachers, DSL and Student Support Services to gain a full picture of each learner through regular meetings.

Design, implement and develop strategies to improve the academic performance of all pupils in the Primary School.

Checkpoint; entries, timetables, invigilation training and rosters, seating plans, access arrangement documentation, communicating results to teachers, SLT, and the Board.

Coordinate learner awards and certificates for assemblies and awards ceremonies.

Along with the Primary School Principal, play a key role in the performance management of all academic staff.

Undertake regular work scrutinies along with both formal and informal lesson observations in line with school procedure.

Support new staff and guide them through the probationary period/procedure.

Take full responsibility for the Teaching Assistant appraisal system.

Compose, contribute, review, and monitor all Primary School academic policies and be directly responsible for teaching and learning, assessment, reporting, and tracking policies.

Be responsible, as directed by the Primary School Principal, for maintaining, reviewing, and updating the academic/curriculum sections of the school's CIS Self Evaluation Form; ensuring that the school is fully prepared for CIS or any other inspection relating to his/her areas of responsibility.

Oversee, monitor, and review the school's assessment, recording, and reporting procedures.

Develop, design and implement, modern vertical curriculum structures between the three schools in collaboration with PPS and SS VPs.

Work closely with the Vice Principal of Secondary (Academic) to promote effective academic and curriculum links and transition between our client's Primary and Secondary Schools.

Assist the Primary School Principal in the recruitment and appointment of staff.

Develop and coordinate the Primary School timetable, liaising with the Pre-Primary, Secondary Schools, Arts and Sports departments.

Actively coordinate and contribute to the PS calendar on iSAMS on a termly basis.

Ensure that pupils feel safe and secure within the school environment.

Undertake child protection and safeguarding training relevant to the role.

Ensure that the Primary School environment is safe, well maintained, and in keeping with the health and safety policy.

Coordinate contribution to our client's staff policy handbook.

Communicate with parents on academic and pastoral matters.

Line manage Key Stage Leaders, supported by the Primary School Principal,l and support their CPD.

Oversee the work of the Student Support Services in liaison with the Head of SSS to ensure learning needs are met and that students receive appropriate support.

Line manage all TAs and contribute to their CPD.

Where necessary lead on staff development and training.

Support colleagues in Sports and Arts.

Support all staff through modelling excellent practice: teaching, carrying out duties, offering afternoon activities.

Plan, evaluate and adjust the Afternoon Activites programme on a termly basis for Primary School in liaison with the Activity Coordinator, LAA and Sports Department.

Contribute to and attend online and in-person meetings with community members, as required, to communicate school goals and practices.

Keep abreast of current international Primary School standards through research and advise accordingly in order to update the Primary curriculum and practice.

Effectively and respectfully manage difficult situations between all stakeholders within the work environment in Primary School.
