We are seeking a dedicated and professional SUSHI waiter to provide excellent service and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests at a prestigious sushi restaurant. If you have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities

• Greet guests at assigned tables and ensure they receive menus and wine lists.
• Be knowledgeable about all items on the menu, including basic ingredients and preparation methods.
• Ensure tables are set properly with linens, silverware, and glasses.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system and deliver them within the specified time limits.
• Ensure that all orders are promptly communicated to bar and kitchen staff.
• Clear dirty cutlery and crockery from tables once guests have finished using them.
• Offer desserts and coffee to guests, upselling where appropriate.
• Accurately bill guests for their meals and drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant area, including fixtures and fittings.
• Ensure your uniform is clean and presentable at all times.

Main Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Preferably 3 years of previous waiter/waitress experience in a similar environment (5 years for Senior Waiter role).
• Basic knowledge of wine and surrounding wine regions.
• Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering systems.
• Basic math skills for handling bills and transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and active listening skills.
• Attentive and patient when dealing with customers.
• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele.
• Must be well-presented and maintain a professional appearance.
• Flexibility and accountability in your role.
• Enthusiastic and positive personality.
• Must have SA ID number and registered for tax
